Notes:

The green sunfish is considered introduced to Atlantic and Gulf slope drainages west to the Apalachicola. It is probably native to the Upper Coosa and Tennessee drainages.


Basin Distribution in Georgia:

In Georgia, occurs in the Tennessee, Coosa, Tallapoosa, Chattahoochee, Flint, Ochlockonee, Suwannee, Ocmulgee, Oconee, Altamaha, Ogeechee, and Savannah River basins.
