In Georgia, records are limited to freshwater only, above Jim Woodruff Dam.
Notes:
All records of gulf sturgeon used in this distribution map were documented in the mid-1800's. No records of wild gulf sturgeon have occurred in the state since the completion of Jim Woodruff Dam in 1952 and it is currently considered extirpated from the state.

In Georgia occured in the Chattahoochee and Flint River Basins.
